A man remains in hospital after suffering serious injuries when a Metrolink tram was involved in a crash with a car. It follows an incident in Wythenshawe on Friday afternoon which disrupted services.
The collision happened in Hollyhedge Road, Wythenshawe. It meant Metrolink trams were suspended between Manchester Airport and Sale Water Park as a result of the incident.
Today (Saturday) a spokesman for Greater Manchester Police confirmed one man in the car was taken to hospital with serious injuries his condition was not thought to be life-threatening.
