BBC Breakfast fans witnessed an amusing on-air mix-up between Naga Munchetty and Scots weather presenter Carol Kirkwood, when Carol seemed to forget Naga's name during a live broadcast.Naga was hosting on Thursday alongside Ben Thompson, who was standing in for Charlie Stayt, when she joked that Carol was of "no importance" to her following her latest forecast, reports the Mirror. As she closed her weather segment, Carol appeared to have stumbled into her next lines as she said: "Ben and...," before finally recalling and adding "Naga! " Naga responded with delight: "Oh you remembered.
Well done."Defending herself, Carol retorted: "How could I forget? " Then Naga turned to Ben and poked fun at herself: "She's of no importance Ben, she's none, she's just the showgirl." Making another quip, Naga suggested: "Write it on your hand next time Carol.
Write it on your hand it always helps," with Carol replying: "If only my eyesight was better I could write it on the screen in front of me."Ever quick with a joke, Naga said: "I thought you were going to say if only you can write," while Ben added his piece: "We will have to keep you two apart."Earlier this year, Naga shared some details about her early bird routine leading up to the BBC Breakfast show.
She is up early and sets her alarm for 3.45am to get to the BBC studios by 4.50am.Alongside hosting BBC Breakfast with Charlie Thursdays to Saturdays, Naga presents for BBC Radio 5 Live during early weekdays.
