Two taken to hospital after ambulance and car crash

Two people have been taken to hospital after an ambulance was involved in a crash with a car in Bury. The smash happened on Manchester Road, at the junction with Knowsley Street, south of the town centre.

An ambulance and a small white hatchback car collided shortly before 7:45pm. Further paramedic vehicles, police and fire engines all attended the scene.

Two people were taken to hospital it has been confirmed. The nature and seriousness of their injuries is currently unclear. The North West Ambulance Service have been contacted for comment. A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said: "At around 7.40pm, officers responded to reports of a collision between a car and an ambulance on Manchester Road, Bury.
