Ulrika Jonsson has opened up about the abortion she had 23 years ago.The TV presenter said she had just found out her dad had suddenly died and was also in the process of going through a divorce when she found out in an airport loo.
She was also in the “early stages of a relationship” she said. Ulrika, 54, already had a 15-month old son at the time and stated that she “wasn’t prepared” for another child.
She said that there was “not a moment’s doubt in her mind” to have a termination after her contraception “failed”. Ulrika, a mum of four, also said she felt “no guilt” over her decision.
She said: "My body was not ready for a pregnancy, my mind even less so."To that end, there was no emotional trauma surrounding my decision because for me it was my right to have the procedure." The news comes after a potential new ruling might make abortion illegal in America.The Celebs Go Dating star branded the ruling “shocking and dangerous” and that it is “detrimental” to strip a woman’s right to have a say over her body.
