Torrential rain showers will sweep across the country today with wind warnings in place for some. The wet weather combined with melting snow after last week's bone-chilling big freeze have caused some rivers to burst their banks.
There are 72 flood warnings or alerts in place across England, while a yellow weather warning for high winds is in place for parts of Scotland.
There are warnings of heavy rain for parts of Scotland, Wales and South West England on Friday and Saturday. The rain is expected to ease by the end of the weekend, with much warmer temperatures also expected, with the mercury reaching 17C in parts.
