Snow could hit Brits in a matter of weeks as mercury takes a dive in a cold blast.The north of England, the Highlands, and the Scottish Borders may see flurries as early as October 24, only a matter of weeks after the UK is expected to enjoy scorching temperatures.It comes as parts of the country are set to heat up and be as sizzling as Los Angeles and Barcelona this weekend, with highs rivaling holiday destinations that are usually felt in the summer months.

The Met Office issued a fog warning for yesterday morning, with a large section of England covered in a cloak of fog as they woke up to the weekend.
