After dangling a glimmer of sunshine across most of the country the rain is set to move in with windy weather and cooler temperatures.
Forecasters predict a band of rain moving south-east across the UK with sunny spells interspersed with showers for most. Some areas may stay dry but overall it’s going to be a lot more autumnal with most areas of the country feeling decidedly colder.
The wind is also set to pick up with stronger gusts picking up as the day goes on, particularly in the south east of England.
