Scotland will see a much drier start to the day than it has been used to of late and will remain mostly free of rain all day, albeit much colder than most of the UK.
Much of England will wake up overcast with pockets of light rain but will improve as the day goes on. Wales will see showers early in the day, particularly in the south, where it may stay cloudy for much of the day.
