Brits have flocked to beaches and parks in a mini 19C heatwave today as police vowed to break crowds flouting coronavirus restrictions.
Most of the UK has been enjoying warm weather, with pleasant temperatures and plenty of sunshine. Temperatures in Wales have hit highs of 18C this afternoon and could reach 19C at around 4pm, according to the Met Office.
Parts of western Scotland have also enjoyed warm temperatures as people visited outdoor areas amid easing of lockdown restrictions.
Met Office forecaster Craig Snell told The Mirror: "Whitchurch in Wales at the moment is 17.7C and even in Scotland we've got a few places which are heading towards 18C." The mercury is expected to reach highs of 20.8C in Porthmadog, north Wales on Friday,
