People arriving in the UK will have to quarantine for two weeks before they are allowed to go about their business, it is claimed.
The move is reportedly being weighed up prevent the spread of coronavirus when the current lockdown restrictions are lifted.
According to the Sunday Telegraph, it will be a crucial part of the government's "track and trace" strategy. People who do not obey face large fines, and the move could be introduced next month.
Home Secretary Priti Patel and Transport Secretary Grant Shapps are said to be overseeing the plan – which is similar to measures brought in by other nations.
