An Uber driver has been banned after he was allegedly caught on camera with his trousers down in the rear of his vehicle with a female passenger.

In a clip of the incident, believed to have taken place in Rochdale, Manchester, on Sunday, the man is seen pulling up his pants before repeatedly apologising and driving off.

The footage was taken by an unknown man on a mobile phone and has been shared widely on social media. Uber has since confirmed that the driver has been banned from the service while a police investigation is carried out, Manchester Evening News reports.

In the video, the man filming approaches the vehicle and knocks on the rear window, where the driver is seen with his joggers down and in the company of a female.
