Two teenagers are fighting for their lives in hospital after a car mounted a kerb and struck them in Manchester city centre last night.
They were hit by a Toyota Yaris which 'lost control' and near Deansgate Locks. The car collided with another car, mounted the kerb and then ploughed into a second car, according to police.
Two pedestrians, a young man and woman, both 18, were critically injured during the incident. The incident happened at around 10.30pm last night when the popular area was packed with revellers.
An investigation is underway. In a statement, Greater Manchester Police confirmed officers were called to Whitworth Street West near Deansgate Locks at around 10.30pm.
