All three emergency services were called to Bury New Road in Prestwich at around 7.30pm on Thursday evening to reports of a crash involving two vehicles.
Two ambulances and a rapid response vehicle were dispatched to the road, North West Ambulance Service has said, with paramedics treating four people in the wake of the collision.
Firefighters had to help a man from one of the vehicles, while another man managed to get himself out of a second vehicle, according to the fire and rescue service.
