Love Island stars Maya Jama and Laura Whitmore are among the names in the mix to take on Holly Willoughby's This Morning job, according to bookmakers.

Holly shocked fans when she announced she'd be stepping down from the ITV show on Tuesday 10 October, telling her followers that her departure was the right thing to do for the sake of "me and my family".

Since Holly's statement, speculation has been rife as to who will fill the mum-of-three's shoes – and the bookies reckon both Maya, who recently rekindled her relationship with Stormzy, and Laura stand a chance.

Ladbrokes has Laura down at 6/1, while Maya is at 8/1. But it seems a current member of the This Morning family could end up taking the sought-after spot, with BonusCodeBets putting favourite Alison Hammond as "evens" and Josie Gibson closely behind at 2/1.
