Two people have been charged after a man was knocked down by a car in Oldham. The victim - a 31-year-old man - was hit by an unknown vehicle on Cobden Street at around 1.30am on Saturday (May 28).
He remains in hospital awaiting surgery after suffering serious injuries to his legs, police said. He may need 'many months' to recover.
Following the incident, Nikky Howarth, 37, of Kingston Avenue, Chadderton, has been charged with Section 18 wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm. Police are now appealing for any witnesses of the incident to come forward. Detective Sergeant Scott Deakin of Oldham CID said: "I would like to send our best wishes to the victim and wish him a speedy recovery from his injuries sustained during this incident.
