Two men have been arrested after a man in his 20s was stabbed at a primary school in Wigan. The two men - aged 35 and 29 - were arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm.
The man has been left in hospital with serious injuries after what detectives believe was a 'targeted attack'. Police were called to reports of a male assault to St George's Primary School in Tyldesley shortly after 4.45pm yesterday (June 3).
Images from the scene appear to show an ambulance parked on the playground of the school in Darlington Street. Officers arrived at the scene to find a 'male adult with serious injuries', said a Greater Manchester Police Duty Inspector.
