James May's latest TV venture has been thrown into chaos after the presenter suffered an injury in a cycling accident. While gearing up for a charity bike ride in London, the 61 year old Grand Tour celebrity suffered a fall near Hammersmith Bridge, resulting in a "bust wrist".This unfortunate incident has thrown a wrench into the production of his new Channel 5 series, The Great Explorers with James, as he's now unable to film certain segments as initially intended.
At the time of the accident, the star informed his fans on X, stating: "I'm taking part in a charity bicycle ride today, with the Armonico Consort and me old mate Oz Clarke (OBE).
But I'm going in the car, because I bust my wrist in a bicycle accident." In a recent chat with The Telegraph, the ex-Top Gear host opened up about his irritation with the setback.
He said: "At my age, this sort of thing takes much longer to heal. I woke up one day and the one thing I never thought would happen had happened: I felt old.
