TUI has announced that it is cancelling holidays to the resort of Laganas in Zante following a a number of recent coronavirus cases linked to the hotspot.

The travel firm is no longer offering any holidays to Laganas from Thursday 3rd September, and said it will be offering a full cash refund to any affected customers.

It has not been confirmed when the company would look to resume Laganas trips. However, that's not to say it won't offer any Zante holidays moving forward; holidays to other resorts on the Greek island will still currently be going ahead as planned.

A TUI spokesperson explained that the move has come because "some customers are not following social distancing and covid safety measures".
