Travel warning issued as month long replacement work to begin at Salford tram stop

manchestereveningnews.co.ukA month long replacement work will be carried out in Salford as part of improvements to the Metrolink. The work at Weaste tram stop is scheduled to take place from Saturday, 1 February until Tuesday, 25 February.
No trams will run between Eccles and MediaCityUK during this time. Trams will continue to operate from Manchester city centre to MediaCityUK as normal.
A bus replacement service will run between the affected stops, however, passengers have been advised travel via the Bee Network buses that call along the route.
The work is part of a planned £147m package to maintain, upgrade and improve the Metrolink network up to 2027. Further track works are planned for various city centre locations later this year.
