Parking chaos is continuing at a Peak District beauty spot, with police issuing another warning to motorists. Officers have repeatedly been drafted in over recent weeks to address the issue of cars being dumped at Winnat's Pass and Rushup Edge near Buxton.

There has been outrage over the 'ridiculous' and 'persistent' parking mayhem which is continuing to blight the popular beauty spot and national park.

In an update on Sunday (February 2), Derbyshire Police confirmed officers had been called out the Hope Valley area again following 'usual complaints about the state of parking' and that those caught dumping their vehicles will be fined.

A statement read: "Police from Buxton Neighbourhood Team have been out in the Hope Valley again this weekend as usual after complaints continued about the state of parking in and around Mam Tor, Winnats Pass & Edale areas. "Visitors continue to park inconsiderately in certain locations in the Valley and again tickets have been issued to offending vehicles by Derbyshire county councils Civil enforcement officers. "If you travel to this location for your outdoor enjoyment, please be aware that if your vehicle is parked inconsiderately you will receive a ticket." Earlier last month there was outrage after 200 parked vehicles in the area blocked gritting lorries and emergency services getting past.
