National Rail has warned that numerous services are likely to be affected as a result of Storm Darragh. They have said that the storm is expected to bring significant disruption because of heavy rain and wind. "Please check your journey in full before travelling as it may mean last services of the day are cancelled and you may not reach your destination," a statement on their website reads.
The rail travel warning comes as millions have been told to stay indoors elsewhere in the country as Storm Darragh battered the UK on Saturday.
A rare Met Office red warning for wind was issued for parts of Wales and the south west which came into force in the early hours.
It meant dangerous weather is expected and people are urged to take action to keep themselves and others safe.
