A man on a mobility scooter has tragically died after being struck by a car on a busy main road. The fatal collision, on Chester Way in Northwich, occurred at around 6.35pm on December 29.
Enquiries have established that a white Hyundai IX20 and the mobility scooter collided on the dual carriageway, close to the Lidl supermarket.
The driver of the mobility scooter, a 38-year-old man from Liverpool, died at the scene. The driver of the Hyundai, a 53-year-old man from Northwich, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving.
