Tragedy as man falls to death from 250ft high-rise apartment block

A man tragically died after falling from a high-rise apartment block in Stretford on Saturday night (August 27). Emergency services rushed to the scene of the incident at Stretford House, on Chapel Lane, at around 9pm and found a man with 'serious injuries'.

It is believed the man, aged in his 40s, fell from the 23-storey building. He was later pronounced dead at the scene with police remaining at the apartments overnight.

An investigation remains ongoing. Following the tragedy people shared their condolences on social media as one person wrote: "My thoughts are with his family and friends.
