The Conservatives have been wiped out in Greater Manchester, losing every seat - including the Tory stronghold of Altrincham.

Labour have won 25 seats in Greater Manchester, with the Lib Dems winning the other two. Reform UK came second in 14 of the seats.

George Galloway lost his seat in Rochdale with Labour's Paul Waugh becoming one of 11 new MPs to be elected in Greater Manchester.

The Workers Party leader, who won the seat at a by-election in February, did not make an appearance on the night.
