Paris will be the centrepiece for the games but events will also be spread across France with 16 cities to play host. Among those countries represented is Great Britain, who who have taken around 327 athletes. Below is a list of all the Greater Manchester athletes competing in the Olympics: James Guy One of team GB's most talented athletes, Bury's James Guy is a five time Olympic gold medallist and multiple World and European Championship winner.
With an impressive trophy cabinet already, the 27-year-old swimmer will be looking to add more at this year's summer games. Charlotte Worthington Charlotte Worthington, 28, is another Olympic gold medallist from Greater Manchester who will be taking part in this year's Paris games.
