A clearer picture is coming into focus in the wake of Naomi Pomeroy’s tragic death. As family, friends, and fans alike continue to be shocked by the death of the Top Chef alum, her husband is coming forward with more details about what exactly happened.

As we reported hours ago, the Benton County Sheriff’s Office revealed that she died in a freak paddle boarding and inner tubing accident over the weekend after being “pulled under the water and unable to free herself due to the paddleboard leash” in rough currents on the Willamette River in Oregon.

He noted the rogue branch was partially underwater, and when the trio came into contact with it, it caused them to plunge into the rough river.
