Movie star legend, Charles Cyphers, has sadly passed away at the age of 85 after a battle with a brief illness.Tributes have flooded in for the actor, who was best known for starring in the Halloween franchise, with his former co-star left distraught by the news.
Charles appeared in the 1978 movie Halloween as Sheriff Leigh Brackett and reprised his role in the 1981 sequel Halloween II and 2021’s Halloween Kills.
His manager, Chris Roe shared the heartbreaking news that Charles passed away on Sunday, 4 August in Tucson, Arizona. In a statement shared with Variety, it read: "Charles was a lovable and sensitive man. "He always had the best stories, and you got a full performance while he told you.
He was a close friend and client on many years who will be dearly missed." Charles, who hails from Niagara Falls, New York, studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and California State University, Los Angeles, where he secured his BA in theatre arts.
