Tom Hardy's new Netflix gangster film Capone has been mocked on social media. The crime biopic is directed by Chronicle and Fantastic Four helmer Josh Trank and stars Hardy as the iconic gangster himself Al Capone.
It centres on his Capone's 11-year prison sentence in Atlanta Penitentiary. During his time there, Capone suffers from the effects of neurosyphilis and dementia, gradually becoming further wracked with guilt and increasingly poor living conditions.
The film also stars Linda Cardellini as Al's wife Mae, along with Matt Dillon, Jack Lowden, Noel Fisher, and Kyle MacLachlan.
Capone received mixed to negative reviews from critics, with the score on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes coming out at 40% in terms of positive reviews,
