Tom Hanks, who recently battled coronavirus with his wife Rita Wilson, has sent a gift for an eight-year-old boy being bullied because of his name.
Corona De Vries, whose first name means “crown”, wrote to the 63-year-old Hollywood actor and said that he was getting a lot of stick for the monicker during the pandemic.
In response, Hanks gave him an antique "Corona" brand typewriter from his own personal collection. The Forrest Gump legend also told the young lad that his name was unique.
In a letter seen by 7News, the youngster from Australia wrote: “I heard on the news you and your wife had caught the coronavirus.
