Joseph Allen Maldonado-Passage (born March 5, 1963), better known by his stage name Joe Exotic, is an American former zoo operator, internet personality, musician, and convicted felon. The former owner and operator of the Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park (a.k.a. G. W. Zoo) in Wynnewood, Oklahoma, Maldonado-Passage had claimed to be the most prolific breeder of tigers in the United States. He twice unsuccessfully ran for public office, first for President of the United States in 2016 as an independent, and then for Governor of Oklahoma in 2018 as a Libertarian.
Carole Baskin
Carole Baskin (born June 6, 1961) is an American animal rights activist and owner of Big Cat Rescue, a non-profit animal sanctuary based near Tampa, Florida. Baskin drew public attention when she was featured in the 2020 Netflix documentary series Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness about Oklahoma-based private zoo operator known as Joe Exotic. The Netflix series follows both Baskin and Joe Exotic, filming their ongoing and escalating feuds over exotic animals in private zoos. Following the series' release, Baskin has been targeted by Internet memes related to the disappearance of Don Lewis, her second husband.

After being accused of having a hand in her husband's disappearance by Joe Exotic, Carole Baskin has always protested her innocence.

The Big Cat feud has had viewers fof Netflix true crime series, Tiger King, hooked. What started as a war of words over conditions at Joe Exotic's private zoo, the Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park, culminated in a murder for hire plot and him jailed for 22 years.

Carole was high critical of the way Joe Exoctic's zoo, which had up to a 1,000 animals and allowed visitors to pet the majestic beasts.

Gun-toting, mullet-haired Joe Exotic, who always dressed as a cowboy, had found fame before the Netflix series when he was the subject of a Louis Theroux documentary, America's Most Dangerous Pets.
