Three officers have been hurt after being assaulted at Manchester Airport, Greater Manchester Police has said. They were attacked as they investigated an abandoned, uninsured car in an unauthorised space at Terminal Two on Wednesday morning (August 21), the force added.
Police used a Taser on one person after they were 'confronted'. Three suspects - a man and two women - were arrested. The injured officers were a woman and two men.
In a statement, Greater Manchester Police said: "At around 7.15am, patrolling officers inspected an abandoned vehicle in an unauthorised space at Manchester Airport.
While conducting enquiries - which found the vehicle was uninsured - officers were confronted by a man during which three of our unarmed officers were assaulted and left with injuries.
