Three people have been hurt following a 'stabbing' near a high school in Stockport. Paramedics and police were called to the incident, near The Fairway in Offerton, on Tuesday afternoon.

Three people were taken to hospital, police said. The gender and age of the victims have not been revealed - nor has the extent of their injuries, Manchester Evening News reports.

Greater Manchester Police said no arrests have been made. images from the scene showed several police cars parked up outside Castle Hill High School.

Officers remained there until around 7pm. Enquiries are ongoing. Anyone with information or witnesses should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
