Drivers in Newmains have to contend with a three month road closure for drainage work to be carried out.The roadworks at Abernethyn Road, from its junction with Kilmichael Avenue, will begin on Monday, June 10, and are expected to last until Sunday, August 11.The reason for the closure is for Scottish Water drainage infrastructure associated with a new housing development to be carried out.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
