Manchester United are reportedly one of three Premier League clubs who are "most angry" with the Saudi-led £305million takeover of Newcastle United despite being addressed by league chief Richard Masters.
Amanda Staveley, PCP Capital Partners, Reuben Brothers and the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia formed the consortium in 2020 and were successful in their plans following a change of heart from league bosses.Mike Ashley agreed to sell up to the delight of supporters, but the move was initially blocked as Premier League chiefs worried about the possibility of a state running a member club.
