A teenager has admitted fatally stabbing a dad-of-three - claiming he acted in self-defence - before burning his clothes and dumping the knife in a river.
Bradley Waters, 18, pleaded guilty to perverting the course of justice following the death of Tyron Riley, 31, in December 2022.
Mr Riley was found dead shortly after midnight on December 27 in Clarendon Park in Salford. A post-mortem concluded he died from a single stab wound to the chest.
A week later, Waters - then 17 - handed himself in. He provided a prepared statement to police, in which he accepted responsibility for his involvement in Mr Riley's death.
