Three arrested after car driven wrong way along two major roads before being abandoned

Greater Manchester Police Traffic tweeted at 12.56 today (Tuesday) that the car was abandoned in Walkden, to the north west of the city, and the trio apprehended.

One of the arrested people was recalled to prison. The force said: "Earlier today #ME14, #ME54, #XT14 and #XT74 pursued a Mercedes GLA220 from Farnworth into Swinton. "It travelled contra on the A666 and the A580 forcing other cars out the way.
