Partey has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates, with Gunners boss Mikel Arteta having reportedly made the Ghana international his top transfer target.
Speculation over a summer switch was boosted when the Ghana international's father Jacob Partey said Arsenal were in talks with Atletico over the 26-year-old.
Speaking to Richmond Entsie on Ghana-based radio station , Jacob said: "I called my son after hearing the rumours and he told me that the rumours are true. "He told me they are holding talks between him and Arsenal.
