Marcus Rashford (born 31 October 1997) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for Premier League club Manchester United and the England national team.
A Manchester United player from the age of seven, he scored two goals on both his first-team debut against Midtjylland in the UEFA Europa League in February 2016 and his Premier League debut against Arsenal three days later.
He also scored in his first Manchester derby match, his first EFL Cup match and his first UEFA Champions League match. With United, Rashford has so far won the FA Cup, EFL Cup, FA Community Shield and UEFA Europa League.
Brentford boss Thomas Frank claimed it was a "miracle" Manchester United weren't 2-0 down at half-time against his side. United were thankful to David de Gea for keeping them in the game at the Brentford Community Stadium and they went in goalless at the break after he made several saves.
But Ralf Rangnick's side were much improved after half-time and goals from Anthony Elanga, Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford put them out of sight before Ivan Toney's late consolation.
Frank was stunned his side didn't claim all three points though and said United deserved nothing more than a draw at best. “I know goals change the momentum of games but if you look at the overall performance for 90 minutes there can only be one winner and that’s us.
They only deserve a draw," he said. "I’m unbelievably proud of the team and the players. The way we absolutely destroyed Manchester United in the first half is very impressive.
