This Morning turns emotional as Eamonn and Ruth appear in throwback clip

Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes made a nostalgic return to This Morning in a throwback clip from over a decade ago, which was aired on the ITV show.

On Friday's episode (August 30), hosts Sian Welby and Craig Doyle chatted with a woman who had a phobia of fancy dress costumes.

Sharnie Christie first appeared on the ITV programme back in 2011, hoping to conquer her fear. In the flashback footage, Sharnie is seen sitting down with former hosts Ruth and Eamonn, alongside TV therapists Nik and Eva Speakman.

In the clip, Ruth can be heard reassuring: "We're going to hopefully sort this today ok, so let's pull back the curtain." As the golden curtain was drawn back, Sharnie was confronted with a snowman and a donkey costume.
