THIS Morning's Eamonn Holmes was left red-faced after a Coronation Street name blunder. The 61-year-old star struggled to pronounce ITV character Tyrone Dobbs' name as he introduced an interview with one of the soap's stars.
Realising his mistake, Eamonn told wife Ruth Langsford he'd accidentally pronounced the name as though it was County Tyrone in Northern Ireland - the country where he is from.
Telling viewers about an upcoming interview with Corrie Jennie McAlpine, the host said: "It's the break up which has rocked the cobbles, but is there still hope for Fiz and Tyrone?" The name is correctly pronounced "Tai-rone", but Eamonn said it: "T-rone".
