THIS Morning viewers were astonished when Eamonn Holmes turned to wife Ruth Langsford and announced he was "fully erect". The 60-year-old host was referring to his posture, sitting upright after she insisted he was slumped on his chair.

However, he delivered the reply in such a deadpan fashion, it was almost as if he didn't realise he'd said something rude. Ruth Langsford, also 60, told her husband: "Sit up straight." He replied: "I'm fully erect, what are you talking about?" One fan spluttered: "Eamonn saying he’s fully erect, something I never want to hear again!" Another asked: "Did Eamonn mention fully erect !" Ruth and Eamonn have been standing in for Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby while the main presenters went on their summer.
