This Morning fans were not impressed when the ITV show was cut short today, Tuesday, 11 March, to make way for a major schedule shake-up due to the Cheltenham Festival coverage. The programme, along with other daytime favourites like Loose Women, Alan Titchmarsh's Gardening Club, Tipping Point, and Lingo, faced cuts.
Although not completely removed from the schedule, This Morning, hosted by Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard, had its usual slot reduced by 20 minutes.Typically running from 10am until 12:30pm, the show ended prematurely at 12:10pm today, followed swiftly by the ITV Lunchtime News, with the horse racing event kicking off at 12:45pm.
Unhappy fans didn't mince their words on social media platform X, expressing their annoyance with comments such as: "Wait what happened to this morning?
And why is the news on?". Another disgruntled viewer exclaimed: "F*** the racing! I want to complain and Tweet about daytime TV!", reports the Mirror. The Cheltenham Festival is set to cause further disruptions, continuing from Tuesday, March 11, through to Friday, March 14, leading to additional changes in the TV lineup.
