Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has launched a scathing criticism of his former club’s owners less than a week after the European Super League debacle.
The Gunners were one of the 12 founding clubs of the proposed competition which quickly fell apart after widespread opposition from fans, pundits and even players.
One of the main reasons for Arsenal ’s inclusion as a ‘leading European club’ stems from Henry’s first spell in London when he won two Premier League titles.
Before leaving for Barcelona in 2007, he had established himself as one of the best strikers in Premier League history and helped Arsenal to become a perennial top four team.
