Last season, he led Mikel Arteta's revival from the front with five Premier League goals after lockdown and doubles in both the semi-final and final of their FA Cup triumph.
Having signed his new deal, Aubameyang got his season off to a dream start with a goal in their rampant 4-0 win over Fulham on the opening day.
But he has found the net just once in seven Premier League outings since with the Gunners registering their worst start to a top flight season in terms of goals since 1998/99.
