Two callous crooks 'befriended' a man as he left a nightclub to share a taxi - before robbing him at knifepoint. Rian Hitchman, 20, and Owen Parkes, 22, threatened their victim at an underpass in Bury, where a knife was pointed towards the man's throat.

Greater Manchester Police says Parkes and Hitchman targeted the man because he was intoxicated, making him particularly vulnerable.

The victim left a club shortly after 4am on Saturday, September 21 last year, before walking down Silver Street. He stopped outside a bar which Parkes and Hitchman were in, before the pair left the premises and walked towards the man.

He agreed to get in a taxi with Hitchman and Parkes, with the driver dropping them off near an underpass. Having left the car, one of the offenders demanded the victim hand over his personal items, while the other produced a knife and pointed it towards his throat.
