Ethan Shanfeld The Weeknd‘s suspense thriller “Hurry Up Tomorrow,” in which he stars alongside Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan, will debut in theaters on May 16.

Directed by Trey Edward Shults (“Waves”) and distributed by Lionsgate, the film is inspired by and featuring new music from the Weeknd.

It’s described as a “first of its kind theatrical experience.” “Hurry Up Tomorrow” marks the final piece in the Weeknd’s artistic trilogy featuring 2020’s “After Hours” and 2022’s “Dawn FM.” The film also lines up with the Weeknd’s next album and concert tour of the same name. “Hurry Up Tomorrow,” the album, will debut on Jan.

24, and the Weekend will perform a one-night-only concert at the Rose Bowl the next day. “Hurry Up Tomorrow” is produced by the Weeknd’s Manic Phase banner and Reza Fahim,along with the late Kevin Turen and Harrison Kreiss.
