Lionsgate’s Trey Edward Shults directed and written suspense thriller Hurry Up Tomorrow starring The Weeknd in his big screen debut, Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan, is getting a release date of May 16.
The movie starring the Grammy winning and Oscar and Emmy nominated recording superstar is timed with the debut of his new album and tour.
Hurry Up Tomorrow is inspired by and featuring new music from The Weeknd. The project also reps the conclusion to The Weeknd’s artistic trilogy, completing the journey that began with “After Hours” and “Dawn FM.” The movie is produced by The Weeknd’s Manic Phaseand Reza Fahimalong with the late Kevin Turen and HarrisonKreiss.
EPs are Jenna Ortega, TreyEdward Shults, Michael Rapino, Ryan Kroft, Wassim “Sal” Slaiby, and Harrison Huffman. The filmmaking team is rounded out by director of photography Chayse Irvin, ASC, CSC, production designer Elliott Hostetter, costume designers Erin Benach and Hannah Jacobs, and music by The Weeknd and Daniel Lopatin.
