The three Greater Manchester pizza spots named best among best in the UK
manchestereveningnews.co.ukThree Greater Manchester restaurants have been listed in a new guide of the UK's best pizza spots. The Sunday Times top 50 pizza places featured a number of restaurants from across the region including spots in Cheshire, Yorkshire and Cumbria, amongst others.
Representing Greater Manchester were three restaurants with locations in the city centre as well as Altrincham. In it's write up, the publication explains how consumer tastes have evolved since the first Franco Manca restaurant opened its doors in London in 2018.
It suggests that the chain pizzerias have 'lost their shine', and diners have started seeking out 'independent pizza restaurants and bakers who experiment with their fermentation and flours'. Proudly independent since 2013, its concessions in the North West serve up seasonal sourdough Neapolitan style with 'outstanding' ingredients.
