Three neighbourhoods in Wigan have now had more than 30 cases of coronavirus in a week for the first time since the start of the pandemic.A total of 642 cases were confirmed in the borough in the seven days up to and including October 1 - by far the highest in Wigan ever.For the first time since April, no neighbourhood had fewer than three cases over a seven-day period – only the second time this has happened so far.Of the 40 Wigan neighbourhoods in Public Health England's data, 23 had their highest number of positive Covid-19 tests in the last seven days of September.Among them were neighbourhoods in Standish, Shevington, Golborne, Tyldesley, Atherton, Ince-in-Makerfield and Ashton-In-Makerfield.But Pemberton South, Winstanley and Orrell.
