A huge shake up to the BBC One schedule has seen the finale of The Repair Shop dropped from its original spot.The 13th series of the hit programme began airing in April was scheduled to draw to a close on Wednesday, 5 June at 8pm However, the last episode in the series - hosted by furniture restorer Jay Blades - will air at a much later date now.
Instead, EastEnders will air in the 8pm slot on BBC One, instead of the hit soap's usual 7.30pm spot. It has been moved due to a D-Day Special from The One Show.
Hosts Alex Jones and Jermaine Jenas will be joining in the D-Day commemorations with an hour-long show kicking off at 7pm. Surviving Royal Navy Wrens will talk about their roles and a veteran will get to see an original Dakota transport aircraft.
At 8.30pm, Kirsty Young will host D-Day 80: Tribute to the Fallen.This programme will feature the 4,600 headstones of those that fell on D-Day as they are individually illuminated across the Bayeux War Cemetery to commemorate the 80th anniversary.
